Many of the Year 13 leavers have already confirmed their places at top universities, with the majority going to the UK. Places accepted and confirmed, for example, include:
Outside the UK, places have so far been accepted at the University of California, Berkeley; Economics at Hong Kong University; and Business Administration at Hong Kong University of Science & Technology.
Head Master Mr Mel Mrowiec is delighted with this continued and enhanced level of public examination success at such an early stage in the School’s history. “The third cohort of leavers from Harrow Hong Kong have built on the success of their predecessors to achieve at a very high level indeed in their public examinations, while also making a significant impact on the School community in so many ways. The list of their university destinations and courses is impressive, and I wish them all continued success and happiness as they move forward to the next stage of their education.”
Public examination results are the combination of many things: the commitment, application and ability of the students; excellent teaching and the dedication of their Subject Teachers and the academic Heads of Department in the Upper School; and the pastoral support provided by the House Masters, House Mistresses and Tutors in the House Pastoral Teams, and the Sixth Form Leader. The public examination results at Harrow Hong Kong are, however, not derived at the expense of the School’s broad philosophy to education. We continue to be pleased with the way in which our students of all ages are inspired to develop to a love of learning for its own sake, to aspire to genuine scholarship, to commit to a range of extra-curricular pursuits and to genuinely engage with developing the School’s six leadership Attributes outlined in its vision statement Leadership for a better world.”
