Singapore’s most forward looking primary school intends to open the doors of its first kindergarten and primary school in Greater China, offering an English and Mandarin immersion programme in brand new, waterfront facilities
Invictus School, Singapore’s most innovative private school announced their new schools in Tseung Kwan O, New Territories, Hong Kong.
Invictus Kindergarten and Invictus Primary School will provide the first truly affordable, English/ Mandarin immersion programme in Hong Kong, with a targeted capacity of up to 100 kindergarten students and 500 primary students of all nationalities for the 2019/20 academic year *. Classes will be available for children aged 3 to 11 years old.
Invictus International intends that the campus will be located at The Monterey, part of the O’South Coast development. Housing 16 classrooms, a library, a multi-purpose hall and an indoor playground, the total area is over 30,000 square feet.
Just minutes walk from Tseung Kwan O Waterfront Park, Invictus School have appointed B&H Architects to manage the design and fit-out of the site. B&H design educational facilities that drive student and staff engagement, knowledge exchange, deep learning, and collaboration. Recent projects include the Canadian International School in Kunshan, China and Eagle Mountain Middle School, Anmore, Canada.
Similar to the international primary school owned and operated by Invictus International in Singapore, the primary school in Hong Kong will, subject to regulatory approval, offer the International Primary Curriculum (IPC). IPC, used by over 730 schools in 92 countries worldwide, is a comprehensive, thematic, creative curriculum, with a clear process of learning and specific learning goals for every subject. It also develops international mindedness and encourages personal learning.
Fees for primary will be just HK$100,000 a year* with no capital levy and no mandatory debenture. As a private school, Invictus School will have no quota for foreign students. Instead, the school will accept children of all nationalities and create a vibrant, diverse community of like minded families.
Two principals have been appointed; one a native English speaker and the other a native Mandarin speaker. Together, they will lead a team of teachers as co-principals.
“The opening of our newest school in Hong Kong enables us to offer children the unmatched, high-quality learning experience for which Invictus has become renowned at a truly affordable rate.” said John Fearon, Founder.
