Starters School is a successful International Kindergarten located in the District of Wan Chai on Hong Kong Island.  Starters School was established since 1977.  Their main goal is to provide a safe, loving and welcoming environment where their pupils are offered the opportunity for continuous academic, personal, social and emotional growth.

For over 37 years, through the “learn through play” and “thematic” teaching methods, they have offered a joyful and secure teaching environment that encourages our pupils to flourish.  At Starters School they see all the children as unique individuals and they are committed to foster their learning development at all times.

Starters School provide English medium classes in the morning and afternoon sessions for children from 2.8 to 5 years old.  Their Primary One class caters to children from 5 to 6 years old and also offer “learn through play phonics” classes from Monday to Friday for children from 3 to 6 years old.

Their Curriculum is based on the UK Early Years Programme.  Starters Curriculum guidelines are used by Starters School staff with the general purpose to review, develop and promote effective learning and teaching through fun activities.  All of their teachers are pre-school qualified, experienced and registered with the Hong Kong Education Bureau.  Each class teacher has the help of one or two assistants.

MISSION  of Starters School  is to maximize our students’ potential – both intellectually and socially – in order to build their confidence and independence and to ensure a smooth transition to junior school.
